Dot Print
A Dot Print is the pattern your answers to The 42 Test make. Each answer sets the size and position of one dot in a ring, so two people who answer differently get visibly different prints. It sits on your result next to your Leader Code, and you can overlay it on a colleague’s to compare.

In practice
Two leaders can share a type and still lead nothing alike.
Two managers with the same Leader Code comparing results over coffee, and finding the one question where they split.
Dot Print
How is a Dot Print drawn?
Each of the first 41 answers moves one dot. Answer 1 (never) and the dot is an empty outline. Answer 2 to 5 and it fills and grows a little with each step. Low answers pull the dot slightly in towards the centre, high answers push it out. The 42nd dot never changes: it marks the end of the ring. Answer 42 still counts towards your Leader Code.
What does it tell you?
On its own, not much: it’s a fingerprint, not a score. Its job is comparison. Overlay yours on a colleague’s and you see at a glance where you answered alike and where you didn’t. Each pair of answers within 1 point of each other counts as a match.
Example
Picture two leaders who both get 42·07 The Quiet Architect. Their codes match, but one answers “always” to the questions about protecting the team’s time and the other answers “often”. Their prints look alike from a distance and differ up close. That difference is the conversation worth having.
